Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne, Movember has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 4 million ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’.
The collaborative foundation seeks to encourage men (of all ages) to grow a moustache or sacrifice a much beloved beard – to effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. With the end goal to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health. By doing so Movember also promotes private and public conversations around the sigma and often ignored issue of men’s health.
For this reason, we wanted to support and rally behind this worthy cause – for all the fathers, brothers, partners and sons in our lives. Not to mention, well over 50% of CK Recruitment candidates are men. So we couldn’t be more thrilled to share our contribution – we are proud to announce, the CK Recruitment’s ‘Mo’ space raised $1,400 for the Movember Foundation! A BIG shout out to the team fundraising leader, Liam who raised $160 – incredible! Also we must not forget to thank all our fantastic clients, family and friends who donated to our space – thank you!
All donations raised goes directly to Movember and their men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Beyond Blue. Together, the three channels work collaboratively to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs ensuring men live happier, healthier and longer lives.
