We are CK Recruitment founders Cassie Greenland and Kylie Hayes. We’ve worked together as a strong partnership in recruitment for over 10 years. But after growing frustration from pressure to meet unrealistic targets set by previous employers, often at the expense of good outcomes and service to our clients and candidates, we sought an alternative.
In 2014, we were presented with an opportunity turn the traditional recruitment agency model on its head. An investor saw the potential in us and provided the financial backing we needed to establish our own recruitment agency. Together we’ve rapidly built and established a successful business focused on people. With people being everyone from our talented and dedicated team, to our valued clients, our candidates full of potential and the broader community in which we operate.
From the outset we were very clear that we’d do things differently. We needed to be different if our model was going to work for us and for our future team and clients. We don’t focus on the bottom line, we don’t demand that work comes first, we don’t believe that you need an army of fulltime employees to build a successful business. And yet, by focusing solely on people and relationships (with a hell of a lot of hard work), in just a few short years we’ve grown the business from nothing to employing over 200 staff throughout the Sydney metro area.
In fact, our people centric model has been so successful that in 2017 we were listed #17 on the Australian Financial Review’s Fast Starters List, we won the 2017 Campbelltown Local Business Awards and were runner up in the Smart Companies Smart 50 Awards.
We’ve achieved this all as young mums balancing the very demanding needs of our families. But this allowed us from the outset to establish a supportive and flexible workplace culture that values our team first. We work smarter and harder. By recognising our staff as our biggest asset, they give us the best of themselves. We aim to be an employer of choice for women.
